DIVINE SERVICE BY THE CHIEF APOSTLE JEAN-LUC SCHNEIDER IN EMBU, KENYA
Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider conducted a divine service in Embu, Kenya on Friday 9th January 2026. Accompanying the Chief Apostle were Chief Apostle Helper Helge Sven Mutschler, District Apostle Tshitshi Tshisekedi (DR Congo Southeast), host District Apostle Joseph Opemba Ekhuya (East Africa), and five apostles from Nairobi East, Nairobi West, Mt. Kenya North, Mt. Kenya South, and Kenya Central Apostle areas.
The divine service was attended by 4,225 at Embu University grounds. The Chief Apostle used a Bible word from Hebrews 11:3,
“By faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of the things which are visible.”
Chief Apostle directed the congregation to the first article of the New Apostolic Church creed. “I believe in God, the Father, the Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth”. And went on to elaborate. We believe that God is the creator of all things, those that we see (visible), and those that we do not see (invisible). Amongst the invisible things God created are:
The human soul: The soul never dies; it lives on, even after physical death, and is immortal.
The realm of the departed: This is where souls go after the death of a human being.
The realm of eternal life. Where man will enter and live with God for eternity. Jesus was the first to enter this realm.
We believe that God is our Father:
He cares for His creation.
He knows our needs, desires, concerns, weaknesses, etc and watches over us
He loves the sinners and welcomes them with joy when they repent, like the prodigal son
He sent His Son to earth to save us
Through the rebirth out of water and the Spirit, He has made us His children, called to inherit eternal life.
We believe that God is Almighty:
He created heaven and earth out of nothing.
He makes us holy out of our imperfection and makes us a perfect bride of Christ.
From the above attributes of being the Father, Creator, and Almighty, we should respond by:-
Trusting God, He watches over His creation, including us
We should not only focus on visible and temporary things. He takes care of our soul as much as our body.
Believing that nothing can prevent Him from carrying out His plan of salvation.
Place more importance on what God tells us than on what we see.
Be determined to do what God asks us to do.
