A pioneer visits one more time before he goes into retirement

Apostle Frank Mwape from South East Africa (South Africa) was invited by District Apostle Shadreck Lubasi to come and visit Tanzania one more time before his retirement in December 2013. He arrived in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on Saturday, 28 September 2013 in the afternoon. He visited the choir members at Dar es Salaam central church who were preparing for the divine service to be conducted by him the following day. In his company were Apostle Deuly, Bishop Igonda and DEL Saunyama.

The choir members were very excited to see him as everyone has heard so much about him over the years as being the one who baptized the first souls in Tanzania. The choir rendered a few hymns and the Apostle was visibly moved as he remembered the humble beginnings of the
Lord's work in Tanzania. He said that it was amazing to see how the work of God has grown.

Sunday, 29 September 2013 was the highlight of his visit. He served in Mtoni congregation (first congregation in the country).

The sermon was based on a text word taken out of 2 Corinthians 4: 1. “Therefore since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart”.

The main points in the divine service were that we should remain faithful and spread the gospel in the spirit of the pioneers. After the divine service, Apostle Mwape briefed the congregation of how he came to know Apostle Deuly as a 17 year old boy. He thanked him for not having given up for the beginning was very challenging. He went on to say, the seed planted in Tanzania was not his but God's and that is why from a single soul, now there are thousands of souls. Apostle Deuly also said a few words concerning the beginning and he was happy and thankful to God for allowing His servant to visit once again after such a long time.
